chainerx.maximum(x1, x2)

Maximum arguments, element-wise.

Parameters
  • x1 (ndarray or scalar) – Input array.

  • x2 (ndarray or scalar) – Input array.

Returns

Returned array: \(y = max(\{x_1, x_2\})\).

Return type

ndarray

Note

During backpropagation, this function propagates the gradient of the output array to the input arrays x1 and x2.
